SmartPDF ("the app", "we", "us") is a PDF productivity app for Android and iOS. This policy explains what data we handle, why, and your choices. We designed SmartPDF to be privacy-first: most tools run entirely on your device and never upload your files.

1. Summary

On-device tools (merge, split, compress, rotate, reorder, protect/unlock, watermark, image↔PDF, scan, OCR, edit) process your files locally on your device. These files are never uploaded to us or anyone.
Cloud tools (Word→PDF, Excel→PDF) upload only the file you choose, convert it, and delete it automatically within ~30 minutes.
AI Summary extracts text from your PDF on your device and sends only that text to an AI provider for summarizing. The document file itself is not uploaded.
We do not sell your personal data.

2. Information we collect

Files processed by on-device tools stay on your device and are not collected by us.

3. Service providers (sub-processors)

We use trusted providers strictly to run the app's features:

Supabase — account authentication, and temporary secure storage for cloud-conversion files (private, per-user, auto-deleted).
Google Cloud Run (LibreOffice/Gotenberg) — performs Word/Excel→PDF conversion.
Google Gemini API — generates AI summaries from the text you submit.
RevenueCat — manages subscriptions and entitlements across platforms.
Google AdMob — shows ads to free users (may use an advertising identifier).
Google Play Billing / Apple App Store / Stripe — process subscription payments. We never receive your full card details.

4. Ads

Free users may see ads served by Google AdMob, which may use an advertising identifier to show and measure ads. Premium subscribers see no ads. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings.

5. Data retention & deletion

Cloud-conversion files: deleted automatically within ~30 minutes.
Account: kept until you delete it. Email wqsyns@gmail.com to delete your account and associated data.
On-device data (recent-files list, settings): stored only on your device; removed when you clear the app data or uninstall.

6. Children

SmartPDF is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing wqsyns@gmail.com. You can use all on-device tools without creating an account.

8. Security

Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Cloud files are stored in private, per-user storage and deleted automatically. No method is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
